Started in 1972, by John Body and Harry Hobbs, HJ Contracts have been making bespoke furniture using contemporary design elements, and using techniques in veneer application that are becoming harder to find everyday. With a workshop based in Hingham, Norfolk and over 150 years combined experience in bespoke furniture making and construction, HJ Contracts are able to produce the finest quality products with revolutionary and fashionable veneers, all produced and designed on site and in-house.
As John Body and HJ Contracts have been making bespoke furniture for over 40 years, their understanding of fashion has developed, and the design, the application and development of techniques that is used to produce the veneers and construct the furniture make HJ Contracts a very unique company. Everything is created in house by craftsmen who have developed and honed their skills so that the only outcome is perfection.
